Dryadic is a constructed language built by Jaryth Kyrnin.
Some interesting features of this language include:
- multiple forms of grammatical numbers
- one of a thing
- two of a thing
- three to 16 of a thing
- and more than 16 of a thing
- vowels can be long or short, meaning a vowel written with an umlaut is held longer than one without
- for example, the word ja’itsän has a short /a/ in the first sylable and a long /ä/ in the last
- attaching the suffix -sän to a word means that word is related to plants
- for example ja’itsän means tree and is a combination of the words ja’it (mother) and the suffix sän (of plants)
